  Sant George Church
Built in 684 A.D. by a rich scribe named Athanasius, it was destroyed by fire in the mid 19th century. The present church was built on the site of the ancient one, but of a Basilican style. The new building retains a large room that formed part of the old building, and is known as the hall of the Nuptials. It's length is 15m and width is 12m. Its south wall has windows in carved wood inlaid with ivory.
